Die drei arabischen Dialekte Algerisch, Marokkanisch und Tunesisch werden auch als maghrebinische Dialekte bezeichnet und sind stark von Berbersprachen beeinflusst worden. Tunesisches Arabisch wird von rund 13 Millionen Menschen gesprochen, sowohl in Tunesien und angrenzenden Regionen, als auch von Exiltunesiern in vielen europäischen Ländern.
